From 6000k - 8000k ft elevation in Colorado with Ponderosa Pine and Gamble Oak.
Description
A small Agaricus in section minores that can be yellowish color with a reddish blush at the cap center when young. With age lightening in color and the cap turning to a brown in the center very similar to Agaricus kerriganii. A. friesianus is taller, more slender with a less circular more cottony annulus and found a lower elevations. Very fragrant when fresh. Solitary.
